The fever was gone on Thanksgiving but returned again on Friday.
Saturday Ellie woke up with no fever and seemed a little better. But by Saturday night we noticed a little bit of a rash on her chest. By the time she woke up on Sunday morning, she was covered from head to toe in the rash...and was incredibly crabby! Classic roseola...I was pretty impressed with my mom at that point. She had guessed correctly from the beginning.
All weekend I let her do just about whatever she wanted partly because I felt badly for her and partly because she really was REALLY crabby. Here you can see her playing with my pager...yeah, I was also on call all weekend. And Andy was out of town, so we were staying with my mom and dad.
Thanks Mom and Dad! I couldn't have made it through the weekend without you!
Perhaps the scariest part of the weekend was when the on call doctor told me roseola was very contagious and has a 9 to 10 day incubation period, meaning Emma was still very likely to get it. But she hasn't. We are past the 10 days and she is fine. No fever, no rash, no crankiness (at least not more than usual!) I guess we got lucky! At least this time...

Oh my God! Ellie is STILL sick? It's been almost four months. It's too bad you guys don't know any doctors.
