The next big event was a parade with each kid holding a sign with a quote from the Founding Fathers on it. As the kid with the sign came up to the deck, Grandpa read the quote out loud for everyone to listen to.
Olivia made all the signs and did such a nice job!
Here are a few of the quotes we got to hear:
| My favorite one! |
And of course the document we were celebrating:
After the quote parade, we were treated to a bike parade. The kids had all decorated their bikes and Grandpa's!
We were lucky enough to get to enjoy 2 firework shows. On the 4th, one of the bars on the lake puts on a show, and we all stayed up late to watch it. The night before, though, was the real show. Larry the Cable Guy has a cabin a few places down from us and each year he puts on an amazing show. It is so close and really quite impressive!
We had a great time again this year. Happy Independence Day.
